    Hi

When I run a game using Punkbuster with Webroot SecureAnywhere Essentials active I soon run into this error from Punkbuster after loaded into a server and get disconnected.

"Punkbuster failure: Unknown Windows API 131131"

Works when I have WSA shut down. Anyone else had this problem? any exclusion I can make somewhere? (have not found)

    Regards

Open the WSA GUI and go to System tools>System Control>Control Active Processes>Click Start and see if Punkbuster is under Block on Monitor if it is put under Allow to see if that helps? Make sure PunkBuster is running first!

Not Punkbuster but the game itself was monitored, changed to allow, hopefully it works now, we'll see.

    Thanks!

Unfortunately it didn't help, both Punkbuster processes and the game are allowed, but the error still occurs with WSA running. Something is interrupting Punkbuster but god knows what o_O

Could you see if rebooting corrects it now that they aren't being Monitored?

I have a suspicion this may be a new PB problem. They previously had no issue with WSA, however it should be noted that WSA -does- hook kernel calls as well as injecting its DLL into unknown processes when monitoring them to a high depth. So if PB is suddenly disliking the kernel hooks or the injection, it could be a problem.

The support folks can likely correct this by whitelisting the game files right now so they are not monitored by DLL injection, however you will likely want to alert PB of this as well, since they are effectively flagging an FP on WSA.
