Hi guys. New to the forum and I need some assistance if you please!

I'm running ESET Smart Security (trial) and Vista and cannot find my ps3 on the media sharing section on WMP11. I never had a problem with Norton blocking the ps3 but i'm at my wits end trying to configure the firewall to allow access to my laptop. Did i mention I'm a bit of a noob...:D

All file sharing, media sharing options in the Network and Sharing Centre are on as required

    Thanks for any help

Please check the firewall log to see if certain blocked connections are logged.

    Hi

I have found a few of these around about the time I was trying to connect:

    02/06/2008 13:08:54
    Detected DNS cache poisoning attack
    192.168.0.'x'
    192.168.0.'x'
    UDP

Could this be it? The latter matches the IP address of my ps3 except for the last few digits after the 'x'. If so, how do I fix this my kind man? o_O

put the firewall in interactive mode and let it learn all the ports... my xbox 360works great....so does WMP for that matter.....it beats adding in all the ports manually....
