Program that work with Snort rules

Hi all!

I'm looking for free program, that using Snort rules to block bad traffic. I'm running Windows Server 2003 SP1.

I already tried Securepoint nuzzler but had problem with recognizing network adapter (see attachment).


Please for any help.

Er, a firewall? Tiny you could, and you can put snort rules into Kerio...
What about WinPcap and ACID?

 

Tiny is not free, Kerio don't run under WinServer, WinpCap is only capture driver.

ACID don't know, do you have maybe some link?

Not really, I'm looking for IDS or IPS - detect bad traffic and block it.

I know for snort, but snort only detect

Why not build a dedicated machine for Snort? There are several Linux flavours that were built as router/gateway OSes and come with Snort and other packages (ClamAV, SpamAssassin, Privoxy, Squid, etc)

Yes but I am confused as to what you want and I am unsure how much this forum expand when talking 'other firewall'

If going down windows route + free then yeah you could just install Snort, WinPcap, ACID Analysis Console for Intrusion Databases using Window 2003,_mySQL...

Because it's not possible that in the moment.
So I'm searching software solution like Securepoint Nuzzler or Kerio.
