    Hi!

    In advanced setup tree - Update - Setup - Never Update Program Components.

    After the upgrade from a local mirror changes the following components:

    Antivirus and antispyware scanner module: 1256 -> 1260
    Advanced heuristics module: 1099 -> 1100

    ESS v4.0.474

    These components will always update ignoring update settings?
    If yes, what other components will always be updated.

    Thanks!

    Those two are program modules, not program components which encompass the whole program (executables, libraries, drivers, help files, etc.).

    Thank you for your reply Marcos. Thus in the section "Installed Components" listed modules that will always receive updates?
    I just can not understand the difference between program components and modules.

    Marcos,

    So what is the difference between "program modules" and "program components"?

    How can we see "program components" at antivirus? Whether there is somewhere a description of "program components"?

    How updating of "program components" influences efficiency of the antivirus and safety of the computer?

    Thanks for answers.

    Program components = all files in the installer (including help files)
    Modules = banaries that provide additional functionality to the program engine (advanced heuristics, cleaner, firewall, archive support, self-defense, anti-stealth, etc.)

    Upgrading to a newer version via PCU may add new features or install fixes that could not be delivered automatically via a specific module update.
