I like using TDS as a Resident AT.
I don’t have a resource issue with it running all the time.
When the Process Memory Space Scan is checked it takes awhile to scan the memory after a system restart
It is not checked by default.
Is it recommended/necessary to have that checked when running all the time?

    Hi Wade,

The Process Memory Scan (also called Live Process Memory Space; and I saw someone it calling once the Process Memory Space Cake ;) ) is a very nice, very good feature of TDS-3.

Let me quote two sentences from the TDS-3 Helpfile:

    [hr]
This is a scan technique that is ABSOLUTELY VITAL to solid trojan detection

It is one of the most powerful scan techniques available in TDS.
    [hr]

So if you don't have a resource issue, why not having it enabled?

Yes, it can take even a few minutes for it is completed; the screen warns for that too.

Another option could be (if you don't want the Process Memory Space Scan done with your system start) that you start it your self some time later on.

I hope this answers your question.
