Process Logger Service

A company must buy a license, for personal use it is free. That is the only difference between the paid/free version.

 

Looks pretty similar to the logging in ERP 4

 

Does all this logging slow the system down, or does it entail too many writes to disk?

 

I have never noticed any slowdowns. If needed the calculation of the MD5-hash of processes can be disabled in the settings (config.ini: "ComputeMD5Hash").
It will write "several MB" per day [logfile: ...\Logs\month.day.year.log] to the hard disk/SSD.

 

Thanks. A few MB a day sounds pretty negligible.

Suggestion: Adding of additional hash types for calculating of hashes.
For example:

Code:

ComputeMD5Hash=n
ComputeSHA1Hash=n
ComputeSHA256Hash=y

Now, after switching ComputeSHA256Hash to "y", SHA256 hashes are calculated.
