Process Guard will not run with any of the windows 9x family, ie windows 95 and any versions of windows 98. Use must use either windows 2000 or windows XP.

The closest would be System Safety Monitor which works (but with reduced functionality) on Win9x/ME. The issue here is that Windows NT/2K/XP has a split between "privileged" kernel mode (which Process Guard uses) and user mode programs - Windows 9x/ME lack this so do cannot offer the features Process Guard needs. Abtrusion Protector, PrevX and Safe'n'Secure also require Windows 2000/XP.

SSM prompts on application activity (including running programs, process injection, driver installation and low-level activity) so it is more suited to technical users.
