Alert me say whenever a certain process or application uses more than a certain amount of memory, or more than a certain percentage of my cpu. I currently use process explorer, and think it is great, but wish I could be alerted as I am testing beta software and need to track things like memory usage/cpu usage etc. for bug reports etc. Are there any freewares out there that do this?

Here are some alternatives to Process Explorer, they may not be quite what you want but it may help.

    Hey

    Heres another on one

PrcView is a process viewer utility that displays detailed information about processes running under Windows. For each process it displays memory, threads and module usage. For each DLL it shows full path and version information.

How about freeware that's probably already installed on your system? Perfmon can be configured for alerts. Perfmon can alert to the application event log, to the messenger service (not MSN messenger, but the older network messenger service), start a performance data log, or run a specified command line.
