    hi,

i just installed the new version (my first) and it seems like a great idea. However, immediately after, I tried to relaunch my Yahoo Launch Cast program and it put it into a loop of trying to reopen and recurrently being closed. Too many choices to figure out what to uncheck on the spyblaster and i dont have the time for trial and error. I unchecked everything and LaunchCast immediately worked fine again. Id like music and spy protection......

    Any suggestions anyoneo_O??

    Hi Brad,

Please go to http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt/, and download 'Hijack This!'.
Unzip, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
Press that, save the log as a .txt file, and copy and paste its contents into your next post.

I think I only need to see the items listed under O16
Assuming that Yahoo Launch Cast tries to call an ActiveX element that is blocked, I can look up the CLSID's you have and compare them to the ones in SpywareBlaster and point you to the one you'll have to uncheck.

Most of what HijackThis lists will be harmless, so do not fix anything.

    Regards,

    Pieter

    Hi Brad,

The only thing in your Downloaded Program Files that is being blocked by SpywareBlaster is SideStep

    Please try this:
Check the item listed below in HijackThis, close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:
    O16 - DPF: {0837121A-6472-43BD-8A40-D9221FF1C4CE} - http://download.sidestep.com/get/k00719/sb026.cab

    This one:
    O16 - DPF: {56336BCB-3D8A-11D6-A00B-0050DA18DE71} (RdxIE Class) - http://207.188.7.150/054d2129357f0a5d0d17/netzip/RdxIE601.cab
    can go as well.

After rebooting try if Launch Cast and SpywareBlaster can get along.

You may also want to check your startups (listed under O4) against this list: http://www.pacs-portal.co.uk/startup_pages/startup_full.htm

Not all of them are needed, but it is hard for me to decide which ones you can do without.

    HTH,

    Pieter
