problem with nod 32 at start up.

    Hi fellas i wonder if anyone can help me with this annoying problem which i can,t sort.When windows starts up it doesn,t load the control centre icon in the system tray and the programme isn,t in start up in msconfig,i have to manually double click on the control centre icon which in turn loads the programme!I,ve tried uninstalling quite afew times but this still doesn,t work.Quite a few posters on here want to get rid of the splash screen,i want it,god how i wish i had it!lol

    Do you have nod32kui String Value in your registry?

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

    Thanks for the quick reply farbod,no i don,t have this reg value in run,how do i rectify this,please bear in mind i am a beginner as far as computers are concerned!

    OK, no problem... ;)

    What is the address of nod32 folder installed in your pc? for example, is it C:\Program Files\Eset ?

    It,s exactly as you,ve typed it C:\PROGRAMME FILES\ESET.

    At this point in time, I would leave that file alone until one of the Moderators from Eset can advise you further.

    I assume you are not familiar with editing the registry so please send me a PM with your email address and I'll provide you with a reg file which, after being run, will import that value to the registry.

    sorry but i don,t know what you mean by pm,totally new to this forum thing.All i know is i,ve paid £40 for a programme that won,t load with windows.Thanks for the reply by the way.
