My father is having problems with his mobile phone. I think that it's a virus infection. Because the problems started when my father opened the phone's Bluetooth. He didn't have any antivirus software installed.Firstly the mobile phone couldn't read incoming messages. There was the sound when a message arrived, but it wasn't possible to view the messages. Now the phone turns off and on automatically. I removed the phone's memory card, and plugged it in my computer. I scanned it with KIS but nothing was found. My questions are:

-Is it possible for viruses to infect some internal(not removable) part of the phone?
-If yes, how can I install and run a mobile antivirus when the phone is turning on and off by itself?

That off/on thing seems to have stopped, however now each time the phone is opened, sometimes the main screen(wallpaper) is displayed, and then the phone is shutdown, or sometimes directly after the Nokia Logo the phone shuts down.

hmm maybe sound stupid but have you tryed charging it?
sometimes people forget the simplelist things. it seems to be turning off sooner and sooner which could be the battery needs charging or cant hold much charge.

It may be related to either of these, the Caribe.sis or Commwarrior virus. Look around, plenty of hit's.

I saw the Caribe description by McAfee and it should display a message at startup. Since I don't see that message, it seems like there's no Caribe.

BTW I found some removal tools here. I'll try them and see if they can fix the phone.

My father has a lot of contacts there so I would try to remove the infection first...:doubt:

The strange thing is that in the memory card there was no sign of possible infection, no program installed besides the phone's own programs.
