    Hi,

I'm having a problem with Google Chrome after installing Webroot Secure Anywhere AV 8.0.2.96 (installed yesterday). Google Chrome is constantly loading and will not display the homepage. This did not happen before i installed WSA, and it does not affect Firefox or IE9. When i stop protection of WSA the Chrome issue is not there. I,m running Win7 64 SP1 in boot camp on a IMac with Lion installed. I have disabled other security software i have running on this machine and the problem still persists until i exit Webroots protection. Is there a work around for this problem ? Any help would be appreciated.

    Other Security Software on Machine

    • Bitdefender free AV
    • Malwarebytes Pro realtime protection on
    • Avast free In compatibility mode (Script shield only)
    • WinPatrol
    • Spyware Blaster
    • Hitman Pro
    • Zemana AntiLogger free (thinking of removing due to being not compatible with WSA)
    • Sandboxie (Only sandboxed web browser in IE)

Thanks in advance for any help provided.

Which version of Sandboxie? 3.76 or 4.01 beta?

I'm currently using Sanboxie 3.76 without experimental protection enabled.

Are you using duckduckgo? If so, I had to turn off the Identity shield to get new pages/tabs to load instead of hanging.

The version number of Chrome is 24.0.1312.56 m and says it is up to date. Yes Chrome was set to protect and after changing to allow it works fine.:D But does this mean Chrome will not be a protected app ? Should this also be done for firefox and IE even though they are working fine.

Yes Chrome will not be protected but leave Firefox & IE as is but Please Submit a Support Ticket as they will have to look at your scan logs it could be a simple thing of Whitelisting some of Chrome's files.
