Problem with email notification

    G'day!

    We bought True Image Enterprise Server 9.1 German (build 3.531) and run it on a MS Windows 2003 Server. We were trying to set up an email notification. Unfortunately not even the Testmail does get send: "A possible reason is a wrong email-setting".

    What does TI require? Any specific Ports? Does the firewall have to configured specifically? I can't find any information about this - neither in the manual nor in the "Help" option. The entered email address, smtp server, login and password definitely are correct...

    Please help me :)

    Hi Azador

    Are you sure that the authentication information you are providing is for the SMTP server, and not for say a POP server?

    What happens if you telnet to your SMTP host on port 25 ?

    Do you have any virus scan with smtp port blocking enabeled (for example mcafee)?
