Problem with Avast- http://download117.avast.com/iavs5x/prod?

Hi,

I was watching Youtube videos about Avast 7, when suddenly I got 2 warnings from the Avast Network shield saying that it blocked xttp://download117.avast.com/iavs5x/prod

It said it prevented something from downloading, which I found weird because I didn't click on anything or attempted to download anything. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone else had this problem today. I tried to go to the avast forums but could not access it. I don't know if it's down or what

Also, I'm guessing is that a link to update Avast Internet Security? If so why was it blocked by Avast

Just created this account because of this issue. You're not alone. I managed to print-screen the alerts. Don't know how it might help anything, but at least it might add substance to the issue.

Thanks I was worried that it was just me, I wonder what happened. Hmm...

 

Personally, i just turned the computer on, and it popped up these two warnings in sequence, before downloading updates.

Also, thank you for the FAQ. Here are the images ...

 

Disable the Network shield and perform an update, re-enable it later to see if the FP is fixed.

 

Glad you mentioned the forum...I haven't been able to access for an hour or so...other than that, new version 7.0.1401 has been nice.

 

has the same warning...don't know why..but one thing i noticed is that
today i installed the new spyshelter version 6.10 it installed but i can not open,execute..bet is avast
and forum is still unreachable.

Hi,
today Avast bloks its own Updates:
Problem with Avast- http://download117.avast.com/iavs5x/prod.
When I startup my PC Avast blocks his own update! Probably this server has some problem or the avast update engine has some wrong definition.
At any case, the definitions of Avast was successfuly updates.

How is spyshelter and avast for you now?.Did a reboot fix it ,or is there a more serious conflict?

 

i redownload the .exe...everything is ok now.
