Problem trying to upgrade from V3 to V4

    Hi All,

    Currently running 3.0.684.0 and got an email a few days ago about
    a free upgrade to V4. I downloaded the update and attempted to install 'over the top' of my current install.

    This failed as the V4 installer asked me to close the "Eset GUI" application.

    Couldnt figure it out so I decided to uninstall V3 from my PC. Unfortunately I strike the same problem... "Eset GUI" needs to be closed before I can proceed.

    Can someone explain how I go about either upgrading my V3 install to V4 or how I uninstall V3 please?

    Hello Andrew,

    Did you by chance follow the un-install procedure in Esets KB article and if not, I would suggest following those steps. Perhaps that will get you somewhat resolved.
