problem starting spyware program

yes, hello...

I have downloaded spyware program, and it works great, thank you...

however, whenever i startup the program and check for updates, it is trying to access microsoft office xp cd... i have no cd, and why is it asking for the cd anyways, why does it need it in order to run the program and update the program

I'm just going to guess at this one, until you get an "official" answer.

Any time I use a program which requires the CD (one game in particular comes to mind), it seems to leave temporary entries behind, probably in the registry. Afterwards, even Ad-Aware (while doing its registry scan) will repeatedly complain "no disk in the CD".

But if I shut down/restart, that seems to clear those temporary entries and there's no problems until the next time I actually use the CD drive.

So try shut-down/restart and then run the program, to see if that helps. I'm under Win XP-Home, if that makes a difference.
