When trying to create an image on a networked machine directory (via a mapped share) Acronis complains that 'The file name, location or format "Z:\backup\MyBackup.tib" is not valid. Please type the filename or location in the correct format".

When accessed from file explorer I can read/write/create/delete files in the Z:\backup directory.

    Any ideas guys?

When you get that error, can you check to see if ATI has created an empty file called MyBackup1.tib? I seem to recall a similar error when I would specify a filename on a network share before being authenticated. If I changed the filename, it would allow me to proceed.

Another thing to try would be to use the UNC path for the share, rather than the mapped drive letter. e.g., \\server\backup
