Prob: vertical line on the monitor and touchpad stopped working. Acer Aspire 5737z.

I need some help.

My portable computer is a Acer Aspire 5737z. A vertical pink line have suddently appeared on the left side of the monitor, one side to another. At the same time, the thouchpad stoped working. I think its a hardware problem, because the line stays there during the system boot and also in BIOS screen. Concerning to the thouchpad, i´ve tried to re-install the driver but it didn´t worked.

Any ideia of what it might be?

Touchpad problem already solved. It was only turned off (Fn+F7), my mistake.

But the monitor problem remains...
