PrivaZer v1.6.0 released

yep, Privazer is a great tool

 

I find that wiping free space nukes the system for what ever reason, so for now I'm unclicking that option.

Hey PrivaZer team

When doing a free space clean, + MFT clean it doesn't get along with my Win 8 64 box. Maybe because I chose a 7 round wiping algorithm thus put too much stress on the HDD.

But I couldn't boot into windows the next time I booted, had to re-install an image which took me 2 hours.

Not sure what's up, but I have deselected FREE SPACE CLEAN. I'm still using your product though, great tool I must say!!! Keep up the good work!!

Did you get an error message while wiping ?

 

No, none. But after Reboot the next morning the OS was fried. Had to re-image.

I have 0 issues when I don't select FREE SPACE + MFT wipe. Boots fine and fast.

 

Did you get issues with 1-PASS wiping algorithm,
before changing to 7-passes ?

 

Very slow booting time with 1 time wipe, like snails pace booting.

 

You probably have a disk showing up faulty sectors.

Very nice little proggie.
Works flawless on my SSD and in the end I've had ~1.6GB freed disk space.
No problems whatsoever.

PrivaZer Team, I think by applying these new features to Selected Scans, it would help with more privacy.

1. Scramble file and folder properties (name,date,size)
2. Scramble system transactions log file(on NTFS drives
3. Scramble Alternate data streams (on NTFS drives only)
