@SunDescending2020, all thumbnails used in Windows explorer are stored under : C:\Users\your-user-name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer even if those are for files/folders on other internal drives or external drives. (it was not the case of oldest versions of Windows) PrivaZer scans files in this folder when you scan your C:\ drive with and show you a small image of what is recoverable. For instance, I entered a folder on an external drive to see the list of photos of my son when he was a baby. The photos are on my external drive. PrivaZer could find the appropriate thumbnails in the thumbcache when scanning the C:\ drive. See them : So, if you want to clean the thumbnails displayed in Windows Explorer, simply clean the thumbcache files on your C:\ drive with PrivaZer as shown here (and the thumbs.db files used for older versions of Windows that can still be there if you have upgraded) : Result of the cleanup : Detailed result : The thumbcache files will be deleted at PC startup as they are protected by the system. So don't forget to restart your PC.
