Firefox Supercookies These are located at: %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\*|SiteSecurityServiceState.txt. In your program, under cookies selection, they can be seen under "To delete" as SiteSecurityServiceState.txt. If moved to the left column "To keep", and then a scan is performed, they still get deleted. Is there a way to stop this, maybe with a line in the .ini file? Thanks Using v3.0.67 Portable
Hello @The_PrivaZer_Team After cleaning, I enter to Shadow Mode (Shadow Defender) but when exit all Shadows Modes and the computer reboot all my icons are a mess (Hidden Icons). What I am doing wrong? Thanks Came
No, I have not, because the idea is to clean all the traces without rebooting computer and go Sandboxed or Shadow Mode OR is MUST for you rebooting after cleaning traces with CCleaner? (With Privazer previous version I did not have this issue, only with the current version) Best Regards Came
When you clean with privazer there are some cleaning that are done at startup. So, I think it could help to reboot after cleaning and then enter shadow mode. Though, you could wait for an official response from Privazer to see if they have a better solution.
No clue if thats any help but since your icons are a mess and privazer does icon cleanups at startup (reboot) it may be connected. My knowledge about iconcache is to limited for any other help sorry.Privazer 3.0.66
Have searched forum but can't find any reference to this issue. When running PrivaZer on a USB memory stick or flash drive, the app goes through the motions of cleaning the FAT but, if I run Piriform's Recuva after cleanup, all deleted files are still showing. Attempted recovery of said files seems to result in a corrupted file that cannot be opened. Even running PrivaZer a second or third time, it still shows the same files as before but, still will not clean them. I may be wrong but, I seem to recall cleaning these USB sticks before with a much older version of PrivaZer.
Quick guessing. I believe USB sticks are technicaly more like a SSD than a HDD, so if you want to delete stuff on them for sure you need wipe the whole stick and not just try to "secure delete" one file. It's delete all (or don't bother at all) for ssd/usb if you want security.
Hi I have a question. I hope you can help or comment: After running a full HDD clean with privazer including traces in free space (all cleaning options ticked), which takes many hours, Zero Assumption Recovery will still retrieve many thousands of deleted images from file fragments, some going back many years. Why is this possible? It seems privazer cannot actually clean old deleted image files effectively. Thank you. Using PrivaZer 3.0.67 on Win 7
Just hoping to avoid that. Security isn't really an issue for these sticks. Don't care about data that could be retrieved with forensic applications; I'd just rather not see a long list of dead files. My point is, PrivaZer looks like it's cleaning the FAT but in the end has done nothing. And if my understanding about SSD is correct, cleaning FREE SPACE on such devices is really a wasted effort. I'm pretty sure that I used PrivaZer to do this a long time ago but, now it doesn't work. Hoping The PrivaZer Team can shed some light on this.
What's up PrivaZer? Lots of issues here and you guys, who have been real good about responding here, have not posted since January 25th. -Concerned Donor
That's a fair point. It's why I always storage away in a separate folder "older versions" of not just PrivaZer but many other apps because it seems when releases become frequent there's always THAT ONE that worked better before the newer one. Just depends on which one.
Hello here. I'm posting in this thread because i need help for Shellbag Analyzer & Cleaner. So i used SBAC today to try to clean what lastactivity shows of my computer, but i'm not pleased with the result (i didn't use the good settings). I've seen that SBAC created backups, is it possible to restore this so i'll recover the previous lastactivity report (and try another way to clean with SBAC) ? Thank you for your help.
Since updating to 3.0.71 I have been having problems with restarting Firefox 67.0.1 after running Internet Cleanup. It is always saying Sorry. We’re having trouble getting your pages back" so I assume something is getting deleted that shouldn't. Anyone else see this?
Yes, this directly after a cleanup with PrivaZer: Spoiler: privazer and ff Also getting a hang with disk cleanup, to where you have to mouse over the disk cleanup box and make it go away in order to make PrivaZer move along.
