OK. Please try to check if systray icons disappears at PC start even if PrivaZer did not run. And keep us informed.
I've used Norton Utilities 16 and CCleaner for years and never had this happen before. It has happened a couple of times now on two machines since I've installed PrivaZer. Thanks.
I've also had an odd jump list issue (maybe it's been mentioned earlier.) Every now and then my start menu and jump list will clear out entirely after running the program, but then if I simply restart everything is back to where I had it.
Yes, I reported it and had it happen again when updating to 2.34. Because it's happened and I have lots of LibreOffice and Explorer links I set up lists of short cuts with sequence numbers, which I can then drag to the Task Bar and recover almost immediately. I've never done a re-boot to see if they 'came back', I'll try that next time... thanks for the tip.
Hello @Tyrizian, @Krusty, @OB1W4N5, @jwcca, job done !!!! New v2.35 released - @OB1W4N5, @jwcca version : - Added support of Windows 10 - Added cleanup of Quick Access - Improved Jumplists cleanup - Improved Jumplists identification http://privazer.com/download.php Howto clean "Quick Access" entries? Check "Quick Access" as shown on the screenshot : Hope it helps !
and, when I think about it, the new install 2.35 1) doesn't have the "quick access" 2) shows that the 2.35 install ticked some boxes on it's own under the Start & JumpLists section, specifically Libre Office, Start Menu and Quick Launch which I then must un-tick in both the scheduled config and manual config. 3) is a lot smaller, 7,409KB, than the previous 2.34 which was 10,618KB, although 2.33 and earlier were around the smaller size. Edit: This is without re-booting... I'll try that to see if I get the "quick access" option Edit #2 - re-booting changed nothing
we changed the identification of Libreoffice Jumplists. That's why it did not remember your settings for Libre Office.
That must be in Win 8 or higher then, I'm on W7. But the tick boxes in the Start Menu section for Start Menu and Quick Launch were also unticked by the install, not just Libre Office, so can you look into that?
Maybe a little problem with 2.35 and Win 10. Indexing cleanup turned off indexing (I had this option checked) then local search did not work anymore. Tried to turn indexing back on with Privazer, didn't work. Had to restore to a earlier image.
This is also in Windows 7 HP x64 (v2.34.1 - held off going to 2.35 because of user problems)...for me there was no need to restore an image. I just ran the troubleshooter for Indexing Service (selected first option fro the list of 4?). It ran some diagnostic checks and re-enabled Windows Search service. After that, all was well.
hello @marzametal, @focus, could you send us a screenshot of your Indexing cleanup options in PrivaZer?
No snapshot, but I can tell you that all of the boxes were checked and it was set to disable indexing. This is the same config I used on Win 7 with no problems. On Win 10 it kills local search completely and I could not restart indexing. This was my first complete cleanup using the latest version of PrivaZer. I have since unchecked the indexing scan and run cleanup with no adverse effects. No event logs, I restored from an earlier image. I have made a lot of images in moving completely to Win 10, Macrium is getting a workout
