Ok, then they will be removed in next PrivaZer release as any entry with "use count"=0

    Ok, what about UEME_ entries?

    Mine have two of them.

    UEME_CTLCUACount:ctor
    UEME_CTLSESSION

    the first one has count=0
second one has the most counts in the list

and when checking in the registry, I found that the UEME_CTLSESSION data contains a few shortcut paths

I presume UEME_CTLSESSION count is used
to calculate the frequency of use.

I find that program impossible in its settings. Even if the program as admin will open, you have hardly setting options, because gray most of the settings are stored. Furthermore, this program will override the SSD, what I will not tolerate. Even there's no way that override the SSD to switch off or to prevent. For an SSD, this program is absolutely unusable and can cause the SSD to scrap!

I've used this, as well as Jetico's BCWipe with Transparent Wiping, on SSDs. One, going on over 2 years. SSDs can take a lot more than people think.

    This is a good one:

I am nowhere close to that, even using "wiping" programs. If you do a lot of writes, ok.

    Edit: Newest -

So, when will PrivaZer be made into a native x64 app?

Yes, I know it's currently x32 and can run on x64, but since x64 versions of Windows are so prolific now, I think it's time to start the transition.

I -- and probably a lot of others -- would be willing to test a native x64 version of PrivaZer!

i too would love a native x64 build sign me up ,its been a while now for privazer , after seeing you guys got the autodetection of drives just about perfect aka ssd or mechanical when delete without a trace command is issued , has there already been talks of integrating system level delete aka any delete command comming in either from a program or user would be automatically a delete without a trace command , id love that alot! just dont call it transparent wiping or else therell be copyright trouble ;)

btw pauly hows privazer compared to bcwipe in traces left any feedback from your side?

and what about this issue , does privazer take care of it?

    http://www.smokey-services.eu/forums/index.php?PHPSESSID=bco9k5mnikcvv6mgaclvs23c03&topic=191126.15

and is erase file slack as well as erase directory slack space for ntfs drives already implemented, maybe even a feature to have the file time stamps changed upon OS restart or something like it if possible

btw when i delete without a trace does it remove just the file contents or the file naming as well can i restore old filenames of deleted files but the contents itself just simply being overwritten? if so have you thought of having secure delete first randomize the file description and its contents before secure wiping with the selected algorithm of choice, please do correct me if im wrong

I want to recommend further additions.

By using the SearchMyFiles and RegScanner programs I can find some other traces of old uninstalled or portable files. They can search Unicode strings, which uncovers more traces.

    HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\LowRegistry\Audio\PolicyConfig\PropertyStore:

This one contains lots of old file names and locations.

    HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Tracing:

This one contains traces of old file names, not locations.

    HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\eventlog\Application:

I found a Spotify entry here, which was uninstalled. Contains file location, invalid ones may be cleaned.

Spotify apparently also added keys here, which is now invalid:
    HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Low Rights\DragDrop
    HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Low Rights\ElevationPolicy

    C:\Users\All Users\Microsoft\Windows\Power Efficiency Diagnostics

I just found that Windows regularly saves logs about power efficiency here, there are about 1 or 2 reports for every previous month and they include old file names/locations.

    C:\Windows\AppCompat\Programs\RecentFileCache.bcf

I found at least 1 year old deleted file names/locations in this file using SearchMyFiles program.

    C:\Windows\System32\wdi\ShutdownPerformanceDiagnostics_SystemData.bin
    C:\Windows\System32\wdi\SuspendPerformanceDiagnostics_SystemData_S3.bin

In these files I found traces of old file locations.

Any update when Unicode character cleaning will be supported in INDEX_ALLOCATION?

After doing a full clean of everything, I used NirSoft ESEDatabaseView's Open Locked IE10 database feature, opening WebCacheV01.dat, and it still listed URLs and Cookies in:

    Container_4
    Container_5
    Container_9
    DependencyEntry_2

Just wanted to bring this to your attention.

    Edit:
My mistake. I found that if you select the option "Remove All" in the WebCache section, it does in fact delete the WebCacheV01.dat in its entirety.

This is the only program I know of that can do that. You have developed an excellent program. I appreciate you sharing it at no cost. Thank you.

    Edit:
When you use the "History" and "Cache" options, there still remains URLs and Cookies in the WebCacheV01.dat. It seems the only way to clear out everything is to select "Remove All" and WebCacheV01.dat will be deleted and re-created blank the next time IE launches.

    Hello Commendatore,

    Thanks for the info.
we are aware of that and it was already on our roadmap.
We just need time (or money to quit my job) to add it to PrivaZer.
    We will keep you informed.

Yesterday, I tried to use Privazer twice. The second time, I left it overnight.
After the last Windows update two days ago on my Windows 8 computer, Privazer gets stuck at "Traces in $log file".
    See attached.

This morning, I ran Privazer without check-marked "Traces in $log file", and Privazer completed the cleaning procedure without any issues.

P.S. Time showing 10 minutes is also stuck.

I've just run Privazer v2.16, and it got stuck at the same spot.
The arrow is blinking, the clock stuck at 10:00 minutes.

This time, I decided to run Privazer v2.16 not as ADMIN, but as a standard user.
After opening Privazer, I got a message - popup windows - with the following:
    reserved0: 2003951984.
When I pushed the button to scan computer, I got another pop-up windows with this text:
Secure cleanup will start in a few seconds. Click OK to start.

I continue clicking the "OK" button, but Privazer is frozen - I cannot close it.
Only Task Manager was able to close Privazer.

    See attached.

    I've just run your PrivazerTest.exe.
Again, it got stuck at the same spot.
At this moment, Privazer cannot cross "Traces in $log file".

I've tried to clean just "Traces in $logfile".
    It got stuck immediately.

Well I jumped on board and took the whole plunge. Now I have a question.

I have Raxco's IR on the machine which is the re incarnated FD-ISR. I know both of them use a couple of records in the MFT to store info the need for roll over. Do you think it is safe to clean the MFT?

    Another thing I noticed.

It has automatic provision for a 2nd internal drive, but nothing for a third internal drive.

Actually my case has room for 5 more drives, so Privazer needs to be able to see any internal drives the machine contains.

    Hello to all,

    @zmechys
Please download the new PrivaZer release v2.16.1 - "zmechys" version :D
which fixes the bug you reported :
    http://privazer.com/download.php

    Changelog :
    - Fixed bugs :
. Scan of $LogFile may hang
. Unable to start as non admin

    @Peter2150
    Hello Pete,

nice to have you on board!

    1. "2nd internal drive" displayed on the main PrivaZer window means "all internal drives except the main one with Windows installed on it".
In the scan window, you can choose the internal drives you'd like to scan. You can multiple drives to run multiple scans and cleanups at once.
Just select the internal drives in the dropdown list.

    2. PrivaZer cleans the MFT in a safe way that will not interfere with differential snapshots that software like Raxco's IR may create.

    Hope it helps
