which version of PrivaZer do you use ?
MSDTC.log file is supposed to be preserved in latest PrivaZer releases.

 

To PrivaZer Team,

The version I am using is 2.8 (Exe),and as far as I know is the latest version,at least according to the website..
And no,it is not working as you state you think it should be...
Note: on Win xp sp3...Home edition

1. MSDTC.log file is not removed in v2.8. What is the path of your MSDTC.log file ?
2. No problem found with Unlocker. Please check again.

The path of my msdtc log file is C:\Windows\System32\Msdtc,exactly where it should be,with a size of 4,096 Kb..(text doc)..
I just find it very strange that until I ran privazer,I was not ocurring any errors in my event viewer,and causing problems, but RIGHT after its scan it was "knocked" out of commission....Co-incidence,I don,t think so..
In regards to my Unlocker program, it is functioning again properly,and I have got it excluded now in Privazer,just to be on the safe side...(and I hope that setting sticks!)

Which path did you exclude in PrivaZer to preserve Unlocker ?

I have used several paths just to make sure!!..They are as follows:

C:\Program Files\Unlocker

C:\ Doc & Settings\my name\Start menu\Programs\unlocker

C:\ Windows\Prefetch\

 

OK,
PrivaZer will not delete anything on these paths causing Unlocker to fail.
Not sure that the issue is caused by Privazer.
Maybe you should try again.

There seems to still be an issue with Unicode characters and the cleaning of MFT files. I haven't kept up much with the thread as I'm new here, but I noticed further back another user had the same issue and it was evidently fixed. In my case, I was able to work around it by going to the location of the entry and manually renaming the file to a more generic term. At that point PrivaZer knocked it right out. I'd also like to make a suggestion if I could. Although registry cleaning in my opinion should be handled a bit delicately, there are several areas that I'm finding the program does not touch. It refuses to eliminate quite a few entries on my machine from long removed software such as Opera and others. I've gone through HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and manually deleted a lot of things. To be fair to the program though, CCleaner does just as poor of a job at a thorough cleaning, though I will admit it does seem to pick up certain things better.

It seems I should have paid a bit more attention to the last post from the PrivaZer team. Hopefully the added "invalid entries" addition will clear up the issue I spoke of.

Hi noticed a bug well not sure really

under "windows history" usb history option I check it, and run start cleaning but when I come back to Windows history options I see "usb history" is unchecked.

Should it not remember usb history was enabled ?

Also my paranoid gut tells me when you are clicking start cleaning it still forgets "usb history" since when you go back to the options its disabled.

It is not a bug. USB history cleanup is deactivated.
It will be added again in a next release of PrivaZer.
