    WebSiteFiles

In XP various WebSiteFiles seem to hold much surfing info.
I can add these as additional folders and Privazer will clean, but should this be a default clean?

    Hello,
    Where are your WebSiteFiles ?

    Absolutely!

It's long about time someone finally have the courage and talent to fashion together a total complete solution to freeing up disc space and in so doing make provisions for vastly improving system performance. Privacy to me is of lesser interest PrivaZer contributes to, speed tuning however is the essence of computer system operations.

Thanks PrivaZer for stepping up front and center.

Thanks, but not quite what I meant. Let me see if I can do better:

I use BCWipe with transparent wiping, as well as other programs sometimes, to wipe stuff. These programs use pseudo-random data to do the over-writes.

When Privazer looks at the drive, it see's this pseudo-random data as needing to be zero'd out. 99.9% of my drive is p-r data, yet Privazer wants to wipe it.

Is there a way for privazer to disregard p-r data? It would speed up the process, and save SSD drives from excessive writes...for stuff that isn't actual privacy data.

Also, is there a way to *not* do a free space wipe, yet do all the MFT wiping? It seems when I uncheck free space, some of the MFT options get unchecked as well. Checking those, re-checks the free space wipe. Right now, I just cancel out of the free space wipe.

    Thanks,

    PD

    Hello Pauly,

    1. it is not possible to distinguish between pseudo-random data and MP3 file content or a jpeg image raw data, for instance.

To insure privacy protection, PrivaZer wipes every sectors which may potentially contain data.

    2. MFT cleaning without free space cleanup can be added in a next release.

    3. We will add transparent wiping in a next release.

    WebSiteFiles

    One folder was in

    C:\Documents and Settings\admin\Desktop

    And another was in

    C:\Documents and Settings\admin\Desktop

Both seemed to contain fragments of page data from various sites I visited, perhaps to speed loading? Many from past sessions.

As I said, both were cleaned when I added to Privazer as additional.

It is easy to do this for additional cleaning, but for someone new to your program it would be useful to give a step-by-step in your manual, and why. And keep digging, with our help, for those secret places in MSWhinedows that log it all!

I have to repeat what others here have said, it is remarkable how trouble-free your product is in build after build.

You gave us only 1 path instead of 2
    C:\Documents and Settings\admin\Desktop

Sorry, in a hurry so I clicked and ran.

    C:\Documents and Settings\admin

This folder had much more than the other. (C:\Documents and Settings\admin\Desktop)

A quick search online seemed to find similar extensions for IE, but for W7, not IE. Internal "Help" didn't have any info. I didn't actively install this, and don't use IE, although every Clean shows lots of info pumped into IE.

    Can't uninstall IE, of course.

Could you give us examples of "WebSiteFiles " files to be removed ?

Sorry, Privazer cleaned them. Your bad!

When I checked a few of the files before cleaning, they were fragments of webpages stored together, e.g. individual icons.

I can't find anything else about the folder WebSiteFiles. Perhaps other viewers have this on their computers and can give more info.

    Funny timing on this but...
I just donated, got a link to download the version for Donors which has the same size as the Free.
So quick question, what's the difference between Free and Donor?
(other than entering a licence number and feeling good for supporting this appo_O)

    Thanks,

    J

Okay but what is your version of NoVirusThanks EXE Radar Pro ?
    Trial or paid one ?

With long and intented research, I believe that the issue I was having with NoVirusThanks EXE Radar Pro, was not a problem that came from PrivaZer, but more of a problem with disabling and deleting old Windows Restore points in Windows 8 64-bit.

I've recently ran a full scan and clean with PrivaZer (Latest version) and all appears to be ok.

When you want to delete a folder, it still says:

__SHRED without a trace with PrivaZer

    Instead of:

    Secure DELETE with PrivaZer

When wanting to delete a file.

Do you have PrivaZer v1.12 ?
