Hi, I have been using PF for a few months now and think that it is not a bad firewall.

The problem is that I can't seem to be able to block any ports directly.

Does anyone know if this is possible and if so how?

I don't know about the new .26 version since I haven't installed it yet.

In prior versions, all firewall rules were application specific. Therefore, I never found a way to globally block specific ports. I found that interesting since almost every firewall has that capability including the WIN 7 firewall.

Thanks itman . I think you are correct. It looks like it is not possible to

selectively block a port. It is funny that they do not include this option.

As you say most firewalls do include this. This is a shame as I do like

    Private firewall.

Maybe I will take a look at Win 7 firewall.
