    Nice read. The article makes it clear that HTTPS is about privacy and NOT security. That means the bad guys come in privately as well, and the need to scrutinize the network has grown accordingly.

    HTTPS is as much about security (via data integrity) as it is about privacy.

    No one cares that "bad guys" can use HTTPS. "Bad guys" can abuse anything used for good.
