Downloaded Prevx 2 on my own. Couldn't wait for the update.
Installed very easily and seems to be running very well and smooth so far.
    Quick question though.
Program activities. In Prevx1 I could clear the files by right clicking the screen and hitting clear.
Prevx 2 does not have that option.
Is there a way to clear it all or am I missing something here??
    Thanks!

    Hi Guys,

So you need to uninstall Prevx1 then install Prev2? Does the license from 1 work in ver 2?

I've been running Prevx2 beta, will this version upgrade to Prevx2 final, or do I have to uninstall?

Also, where is the new Dashboard?

I will retest again on a different PC as I was surprised how poor the test results were.

Am I correct in remembering reading about a sandbox with this version?

Thanks silver0066. I just thought I saw something about a sandbox in the list of new features for version 2 that was on the Prevx website during the count down.

Is this what they are referring to as the "sandbox"? Is it really just a safe place that the file scanning or unpacking of files takes place? It's not like a real sandbox program as we know it such as Sandboxie is it? I'm trying to get a grip on what it is too. :)

it's a protected environment "like" norman sandbox, or Nod32 dynamic heuristic, and so on. Nothing you have to worry about or you've to manage with :)

Was glad to read that Prevx2 beta for Vista was released.

I disabled the Vista UAC as instructed, downloaded the beta file, and installed it.

Have not been able to get it to run no matter what I try. NOD32 is off. I've even tried to use Win XP compatibility, but nothing I've tried works.

To uninstall the program (and I've done this twice now), I had to use Vista system restore since Prevx console does show to be running in the task manager.

Am running Vista 32-bit with an AMD Opteron processor. Used my previous Prevx1 license which still has 6 months before expiration.

Would appreciate any thoughts on what to try next. Thanks in advance.

Ensure that you have the Vista version of Prevx2 & turn off Nod32 AMON before you install.

Which version of Prevx2 are you trying to install?

Do you have any other security software apart from Nod32?

The Prevx2 file I downloaded from Prevx is identified as 2.0.1.6VISTAx86AMD64.

Not only was AMON turned off during the install, all of NOD32 was turned off.

There is no other security software running unless you would include Look 'n Stop which was given positive responses to all prompts during the Prevx install.

Yup, I'd have thought Look n stop might cause an issue for install, I had a problem on a customer's computer with Zone Alarm too.

Hi, folks: problems w/ ZA pro? I did have such one around last December w/ v.1. But since earlier this year, prevx1 and now 2 have no issues w/ ZA pro 7.0.337. Uninstalling v1 and installing 2 both are done smoothly w/o altering ZA's presence. I have a strong feeing that Prevx2 will become a MUST HAVE app very soon. :thumb:

    Gentlemen,

Prevx2 dropped in via autoupdate. Needless to say, Prevx1 & Nod's AMON were on. Are you recommending removal & reinstallation? No discernible problem present.

No, updates seem to be fine Michele, it's just the original installation that can be upset by Nod32.

Hi, folks; After updated to build 12, during the program analyzing, ZA pro's TrueVectorService in system tray was suddenly shut off. I had a similiar occurance when v.1 did a system scan after window bootuped. But later build of v.1 seemed to fix that. And now with this new update I have the same problem returned. Has any one had any problems w/ this new updates ?

After I un-installed Blink Personal Edition today to wait for the new release, the Windows Security Center message popped up and read that BPE Antivirus was turned off. I knew how to fix this thanks to you folks in Wilders, but after reboot the WSC message popped up and read that Prevx 2.0 wasn't turned on. I Had un-installed Prevx 2 before installing Blink and didn't get that message. I just thought a few Prevx users may be interested in this if you didn't know already. I guess you wouldn't really need an AV with Prevx 2.0 as as stated on their web site, but I now wonder if anyone is running prevx 2.0 by itself? I have Prevx running alone right now and WSC says that Prevx 2.0 Antivirus Scanning is on. Also here is the rundown on the recent Prevx 2 releases, and you can see it has some kind of sandbox analysis. I knew I saw something about sandbox on the website a few days before the official release, but I'm sure this is different than an actual sandbox program. http://info.prevx.com/versioncontrol.asp
