prevx flags hitman driver

ummm......joe even on trusting hitman driver... prevx pops up this warning repeatedly....the subsequent scans but naturally come clean...

 

Ive never seen this warning,

do you have your age/popularirty settings above medium?

ive just done a right click scan on the file, and its clean on mine. (settings High>Med>Med)

 

nope......mine are max>medium>medium

 

ok, ive just set mine to max>medium>medium.

no detection on right-click scan, and no detection on custom scan of that file within the programs GUI either.

just running a hitman pro scan, no detection is popping up either.

im running prevx version 3.0.5.50 and hitman pro x64 build 84

 

search me.... no idea maybe joe would have an explaination....

mine is prevx version 3.0.5.50/hitman pro build 85/eset nod v 4.2.22.0 beta on a win 7 ultimate x86

 

We periodically flag drivers similar to this because Prevx intentionally flags kernel mode code with a much higher level of heuristics than usermode programs (because of the increase in risk once something reaches kernel mode).

If you could please send a scan log to report@prevxresearch.com, I'll see what we can do to prevent this from occurring in the future on the Hitman Pro drivers.
