What a mess the firewall has caused . Tried to remove it and , 7 hours later and a restore , I am back . I removed it and internet connection was gone for good . Reinstalled ethernet driver to no avail . It is a mess with Nvidia . There were bugs which had me uninstall . You think Norton was a pain to remove a few years ago ? Try this . Yep . I am done for awhile . Passed it on to Agnitum . Good luck with this one

I don't know what your problem was but OP has an uninstall routine called clean.exe located in the install folder. It's used in safe mode to remove it completely in a reasonably quick fashion.
