Pretty sure Im going to slap Spyshelter Premium back on as I have a lifetime license for it and give this restricted mode a try along with HMP as my scanner.

I had a pretty standard config: win7 x 64 home with Office Pro only, have gotten a lisence of Spyshelter after informing them on one last year issue.

    Set UAC to elevate silently
Set UAC to elevate only signed programs (this restricts 99,9% of all malware)
Set Spyshelter to auto allow Microsoft only (this auto allows Outlook, IE9 and WMP, some of the riskiest internet facing softwares on the other hand this closes down the risk of the rare occasion a signed program is infected with malware).
Set Spyshelter to restrict IE9, WMP, Outlook (only take the trouble to allow some access of restricted programs to certain directories and files), this closes the allow Microsoft gap of internet facing software

    Only downsides
    a) saving attachments with mail takes a long time
    b) you can only copy paste text to web address bar, inside webbased programs the copy / paste from programs running not restricted mode is prevented also.

It is a silent classical HIPS setup and very strong IMO, no idea whether those last two issues are solved in the latest Beta, since I switched recently to a Win 7 ultimate on 32 bits as OS (just made wife's laptop a lot faster, than simular laptop with better CPU university laptop of son).
