I was using my Chromebook when I had a systems tray pop-up that informed me that an unknown Android device had gained access to my account. Naturally I changed my password.

A couple of hours later it happened again, so I changed my password yet again. It's two hours later now, with no new alert. Is it possible this is a glitch in the Matrix? I did sign-in a couple of times with my Kindle Fire, could this have been the culprit and it was just a case of mistaken browser sniffing? Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon?

Yes. Family and I have seen this many many times as when we sign-in from different devices (PCs or phones) in our 14 accounts. It's a normal and genuine warning not a glitch.

So, you reckon someone accessed my account? You're sure it wasn't my Kindle Fire? They are both (Galaxy and Kindle) Android AFAIK. I've activated Enhanced Protection from Standard. So far no more alerts, so it may have made a difference. Hopefully.

The alerts were very disconcerting though.

I'm sure they were. Not using a VPN are you? That might make it think you're logging in from strange places.

No, read my previous post, I edited it.
Not 100% sure but most likely, I don't use Kindle Fire.

No I'm not using a VPN. I haven't had an alert again.

So, it's unlikely I was accessed? Nothing had changed anyway. So I'm just not that convinced.
