    Hi,

I updated to UltraCompare Professional v6.00.2.1004 and NOD32 3.0.672.0 says my "uc.exe" file is "probably a variant of Win32/Genetik trojan".

I re-downloaded the install file for UltraCompare and when I re-installed it, NOD32 quarantined the "uc.exe" during the install. I haven't had any problems with NOD32 or UltraCompare until I updated to the latest UltraCompare version.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I had the same problem with the new version of UC. It's for sure a false positive. Will probably be solved soon. I submitted the sample to eset.

    Hello,

I downloaded a copy of UltraCompare v6.00.3 (the version you mentioned did not seem to be available) from IDM Computer Solutions web site and was unable to reproduce this issue.

Are you still receiving a report of malware on the file?

    Regards,
