Port Explorer 2.000 Problem

hi ive installed PE 2.000 and it installs and runs fine and all processes show up but it just doesnt sniff any data. i have zonealarm and its been allowed. i also have screen logging enabled at 1 second intervals. what do i do to get it sniffing ?

 

Help > Advanced > Packet-sniffing with socket spy. This will tell you all you need to know to get started.

 

nothing works for that either. theres no activity at all apart from showing me which processes are running and their ports. no screen or file logging at all

 

An uninstall/reinstall may be in order then, it's sounding like your current install may have gone wrong. Are you running ProcessGuard, RegDefend, or any similar program that may block the instillation of service/drivers or registry changes? If so allow the service/drive to install and/or the registry changes, or just disable them when doing the uninstall/install.
