Over a year and a half after the launch of the POCO F1, Xiaomi’s former sub-brand POCO, is finally bringing its second smartphone to the market — the POCO X2. Xiaomi India recently established POCO as an independent brand and shortly thereafter, the newly formed company announced that it will be launching its next smartphone in February.

Now, according to a recent tweet from the company, the upcoming POCO X2 will be launched on 4th Feb at an event in New Delhi.

POCO has already gone ahead and set up a website announcing the launch, which reveals a few key details about the upcoming smartphone. As per the website, the POCO X2 will feature a high refresh rate display, liquid cooling, and, most likely, a Sony IMX 686 primary sensor (as suggested in the image below).

If our speculation stands true, the upcoming POCO X2 will be powered by a Snapdragon 730G SoC, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The device will feature a 120Hz high refresh rate display, which is also quite evident from the following image, and a 4,500mAh battery with support for 27-watt fast charging. As of now, POCO has neither confirmed nor denied these claims.

POCO Indirectly Confirms The X2 Will Be A Rebranded Redmi K30

POCO has just indirectly confirmed that the POCO X2 will be a rebranded Redmi K30. The company confirmed that via its POCO India Twitter handle, by sharing a new teaser video.

This is not a surprise, at all. We've been expecting this to happen, as the device surfaced several times thus far. This is basically a confirmation of those leaks, though.
The POCO X2 will become the first POCO-branded phone since the POCO F1 / Pocophone F1. The company will announce the device on February 4 in India, so you can expect it to arrive tomorrow.

The POCO X2 will be a mid-range smartphone, just like the Redmi K30.
We're not sure if POCO plans to release the POCO X2 outside of India, but the POCO F2 will almost certainly be a global smartphone.

Xiaomi's sub-brand POCO today announced its second handset, the POCO X2. The announcement comes almost 1.5 years after the original POCO F1 was announced which shocked the entire smartphone market with its value for money and performance.
The POCO X2 is not a direct successor to the Poco F1. Instead, it is a mid-range gaming phone that packs some impressive features for its price.

Since the phone is oriented towards gaming, it comes with liquid cooling to ensure it does not heat up excessively even when under heavy load.

The quad-camera system at the rear includes a 64MP Sony IMX686 shooter, a 120-degree 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and one macro and depth sensor of 2MP resolution each. The front houses a 20MP selfie camera and a 2MP depth camera. The phone is capable of recording 4K videos as well as slow-mo videos at 960fps.

The base variant of the phone with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at Rs 15,999 ($225), while the high-end 8GB RAM variant with 256GB storage carries a price tag of Rs 19,999 ($285). It is unclear if the POCO X2 will make an international debut or it will be only sold in India.
