plug image freezes at assigning drive letter

what the heck is going on here when i try to plug a partition image it freezes on assigning drive letter.Left it all night and never came out of it. please help it's th e ver9

I _think_ you're describing the same problem I have with TI 8 under Windows
98SE. I found that if I Ctrl-Alt-Del and find MSGSERV is not responding
(takes typically two Ctrl-Alt-Del's, during the first of which I find MSGSERV
isn't the problem yet and I therefore Cancel), I can End Task and find that
the letter _was_ assigned satisfactorily, with the only problem being that
the message telling me so was frozen.

Could you please do the following?

- Download the file below, unpack it and run in order to add the information to the Windows registry:

http://download.acronis.com/ul/w/j/c/g/mgecxnoagjkkzckcvsoa/SetupApiLog.zip.

- Delete the \Windows\setupapi.log file and reboot the computer;
- Reproduce the mounting error and send the 'setupapi.log' file to Acronis Support along with the link to this thread. This will allow us to investigate the problem.
