    I have PerfectDisk 2008.

I use the smart replacement method for the system partition and the consolidate free space method for the other partitions.

But it seems that the consolidate free space method never finishes; I always have to stop it manually. :doubt:

Does it happen to you or I am the only one with this problem?

    Thanks,
    Panagiotis

ps.This thing starts to get on my nerves.
I do not like to babyshit any program but a never ending defragmentation is not something that I like.

Are you current on maintenance, both for the OS and for PerfectDisk? Are you running any RAID configuration?

I run PD2008 on VistaHP/SP1 and this does end for me. It may take quite awhile, especially the first time, depending on a number of factors, including how big your drive is and so forth.

A bit irrilevant to my question, but yes I am.
[Anyway, I use PD on my Windows XP Pro genuine (bought directly from microsoft).
My Raxco maintence ends in two years, since I renewed last week.]

It happens on all my partitions raid and non raid, internal or external disks.

To me it happens always even if I do 2 defrags one after another. It gets stuck to defragmenting 100%. o_O

    Thanks,
    Panagiotis

ps. Probably I'll contact Susie or someone else from raxco on monday.

    Hi Panagiotis

I use PD 2008 on several raid 0 configurations, all XP pro, no issues here.

    Hi Peter,

I uninstalled/reinstalled PD and it got fixed.
It takes about 5-10 minutes for passing from defragmenting 100% to reach defragmented. I guess it is a normal delay. :doubt:

    thanks,
    Panagiotis
