I see license is for a lifetime. Is this just for the lifetime of the 2.0+ product? Also, how many computers can the product be installed on from a single purchased license?

I tested PEG2 with Spyshelter's Antitest "System Protection" module. PEG2 failed.

Evidently PEG2 offers no protection of registry. Perhaps that is intentionally not within the scope of its protective functions?

I tried PEG2 a while longer. It did pop-up a few alerts but they offered no comprehensible explanation of what if any danger they were alerting to. Perhaps the inscrutable alerts are one reason why PEG2 did poorly on MRG tests.

registry protection will be added in next version and PE Guard is one time fee life time and unlimited pcs
note:friends Pe Guard will have anti-kelogging/registry/network protection just wait and see for your self

PEG doesn't monitor behavior, it only monitors creation and modification of executables.

It needs it. ATM, it's unable to protect its own service and autorun registry entries. That's an unacceptable flaw for a HIPS.

opaida is aware of this;) so he will boost PE Guard up:)

Well, for your sake, I hope you get an update soon ;). Testing malware against a HIPS that cannot protect itself is not a good idea.

i am here:D i have a brave soul it takes courage to test man and how can you see if a program is good or not by testing it isnt it?

I've been testing malware against security apps for about nine years. Bravery and courage are not needed to test malware.

I have been playing with PE Guard for sometime and I found that it has somewhat similarity with the Malware Defender(Not a complete rip off though). And do have to say it is not at all recommended for the nerd users:isay:

I will provide some more information later as I'll test against some finite samples(about 2-5) and post the corresponding results:)

    Question:
Is the older (1.2?) version, which is freeware, worth of using?

    TIA,
    François

I guess there has been some major improvements in this v2.1:)

Of course, but it doesn't really answer my question.

    Thanks again, and best regards,
    François

PEG2 doesn't seem to work on my system, Windows 7 x64. It seems to install, but when you attempt to run it, it says drivers aren't installed. It asks if you want to install the drivers. When you do so, it then gives an error message, and apparently doesn't ever get fully loaded.

I uninstalled it and gave up. I'm registered, so I guess I'll try it out on a future version .
