Pe connecting to internet

    Greetings,
    Off and on PE is trying to connect to the web via either some DNS request or some unknown software (unknown to me). I always say no. What you say?

    Yes that thread answers it well. Particularly my last post about DNS requests. Port Explorer has to resolve addresses it receives and hence needs to do some DNS. Depending on certain factors DNS can go through SVCHOST or the program requesting it.

    And I'm guessing there are really are no security issues with access or they would have been mentioned.

    No.. there are no security issues at all involving Port Explorer.
