Thanks for the info. I hadn't heard about this kind of vulnerability. By the way, LastPass offers its' own Authenticator app for Android which I prefer over Google Authenticator, because it offers one-touch authentication.
LP Authenticator also offers sms-authentication and can substitute Google Authenticator. And can be covered by 4-digit pin, though I would prefer option for more digits.
This sucks! Why do I have to enter my email and password every time I open my browser? This doesn't happen with the Edge version and didn't happen until LastPass updated in Firefox / Cyberfox. I can't even log into my account now. I stick my middle finger in the air aimed at LastPass as I remove the new version and reinstall 3.3.4.
Probably an extension, like No Resources URI Leak or similar, but there's no problem with the previous version of LastPass.
Possible contenders, though I can't rule out others. Canvas Blocker Decentraleyes NoScript Privacy Badger Privacy Settings? *Maybe it changed something LP 4.x doesn't like? uBlock Original *Unlikely, but who knows? Nar, it's not uBO as I use that in Edge and I don't have that problem.
I have all those, but ... NoScript - allow scripts globally (to prevent XSS and clickjacking). Privacy Settings at Privacy (compatible) and Security setting.
Sigh... now I've got another weird problem. If I sign into a site, and open another tab to sign into another site the login fields on the other site don't show up.
Well, I've solved that problem too. I was wondering why I didn't have this bug on FF or my other machines, only Cyberfox and this machine. On checking Options > General, I noticed Enable multi-process Cyberfox had been checked. Disabling that and Cyberfox started working properly again. Weird, but... Happy days!
Edit: I do sometimes have login issues, also on Roboform which is my go-to password manager, but have not been able to pinpoint why. Could be something like that too, or an extension.
Do you have the "Addon Compatibility Reporter" extension? It will tell you which extensions are not compatible with multi-process/e10s and are possibly causing problems when multi-process is enabled.
I've tried that in the past and just tried again but it doesn't work, at least not on Cyberfox. I can't get it to do anything in Firefox either.
After installing the compatibility reporter try clicking the "hamburger" (upper right corner) and selecting customize; the icon may be there and you should be able to pull it out.
Victek, I have. No icon. I appreciate your trying to help but when I install Add-on Compatibility Reporter in Cyberfox nothing at all happens. When I install it in Firefox a new window opens with a spiel but no icon. None, zero, zilch!
I just tried KeePass for the first time and especially like the fact it's local, but I've got a couple issues with it. First, I can't seem to find a way to make it autofill the fields when I open a page. Is that normal? Do you have to do it manually every time? Second, there isn't a toolbar button to apply autofill. I'm setting it up for my mom and it needs to be as simple as possible. Is there anything similar to KeePass but with autofill, or at the least a toolbar button to do it manually? Sorry if this has been covered already, I didn't read through every post.
You'll need browser integration (thru plugin) to have auto-fill/click-to-fill. http://keepass.info/help/base/ KeePass by design does not integrate. https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/keepass-a-further-leap-ahead.329627/ ------------------------------------ Perhaps to your liking https://www.enpass.io/apps/desktop/ Supports browser extensions.
