    I know this is a long shot but we have an old copy of Partition Manager Server Edition 7 and we need to resize the partitions on a SBS2008 server.

    Will the version we have work or do we have to buy an upgrade (is an upgrade from V7 to 11 even possible?)

    Thanks

    PM Server 7 is too old for SBS 2008. You should upgrade the version.

    You can try the following:
    * Right-click on 'My computer' and choose 'Manage';
    * Select 'Disk Management' in 'Storage';
    * Right-click required partition and select 'Shrink Volume' or 'Extend Volume'
    * Set required size and apply.

    Thanks for the info.

    Unfortunately you cant shrink a volume below 50% due to the way NTFS formats drives, and we needed to shrink to below that.

    We ended up using G-Parted Live CD
