I have both partition magic and Acronis TI 7 and Acronis Ti 9

Acronis TI resizes partitions such as when you adjust the secure zone.

is there any risk of using Acronis to resize a zone and then later using Partition magic to adjust partitions?

do they play well together when used at separate times?

I have P.M.-8 installed here. I've noticed that it doesn't have any trouble seeing the SZ. I've never tried messing with the SZ in PM, but I'll wager that it will see it as a corrupted partition or file system and try to "repair it". You can certainly modify any other partition, but I'd leave the SZ alone.

Diskeeper-9 can also see it, and thinks it's Fat32, it is also able to read it.

I resized a partition using partition magic. It did NOT recognize the secure zone and corrupted the headers. be careful when using these. make sure you know where the SZ is and avoid it with PM. I knew where it was (it identified as raw space). I should have avoided this disaster but wasn't paying attention...

    Hello Peter Mac,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

You should not have the problem with Partition Magic and Acronis True Image 9.0 if you run it at separate times.

I also recommend you to read the information about Acronis Disk Director Suite 10.0, you can try to download a free trial version and see how it works on your computer.

    Thank you.
