    Hello,
Again, I can't download it. Their ftp server doesn't like the kind of me.

USA still the best. But barely.
Go through the setup again. Investigating every choice. I Think I had to point it to my BenQ DVD burner. As the default was my LG DVD rom. Good luck.

Is there an "apply" button on the top?

One of the features I don't like about Paragon 8 is this must "apply " button at the top. But it shows the value of reading the drivers manual before starting the car.

    :D

PS on the other hand it may be best to have a pause and reflect here since you dealing with whole partitions not just individual files.

Isn't that a feature that you can disable by changing the virtual mode settings?

Don't know, I do know I am offered apply changes now, if I don't click that it closes off saying you are quitting with no back up.... I will check this virtual thing out later!

DOH!........Thanks Gerard...trust you to come up with the obvious...:D :D...I never even noticed 'Apply' button, it was always greyed out....

I don't recall having to Apply when using Exact Image 7??....Wish I hadn't uninstalled it now..

Hey wilbertnl, I don't seem to have a Virtual Settings option...all I have is this....

    Hello,
Cochise: trying to download from the usual ftp.nvudownloads.co.uk, the one linked in Download Now text. Sent them a ticket, they responded with a generic email that is so off mark I almost rebooted the pc.

Would that work only on that software, which I already have?

I would think so, but you could always try with different software.

I just purchased the Personal Edition and they offered me a free second registration. :thumb:

Is this version compatible with Win Vista? If yes, which should I prefer; ATI 10 upgrade or Paragon 8?

Great, but why do you need one? For a second computer I guess.
Have you tried to restore your whole C drive with this tool? I am struggling with their non bootable bootable cd restore disk?

It is supposed to self burn after down loading. But only sonic worked, and I'm not sure if that burn will be bootable. I'm worried.

    Any thoughts?

It's a Christmas gift that you are allowed to give to a friend.

I let the recovery CD extract to file and got a ISO that I wrote to CD with my CD program.
So don't write it as data to CD, but as image.
    The CD is bootable.

Thanks a lot, got the iso image, AND my version of sonic wants me to pay for an upgrade to create a bootable cd. What software did you use to create your bootable cd?

I thought that when I ran the paragon self extract properly and it burned itself to the CD I finally had it. BUT guess what the check bootable cd wizard informed me that cd was NOT bootable. I'm losing it tonight, will resume tomorrow. Less likely to make errors...

PS did you run the bootable recovery checker?

The ISO is bootable, you just need to burn it.
You can find the free CDburn.exe in this page: http://www.petri.co.il/how_to_write_iso_files_to_cd.htm

    Thanks, I'll try it.

My concern is when I ran Paragon's Check Recover Disk tool it made a BIG
point of sending a message that the cd WAS not bootable.

Do you get the same message on your cd? Are you sure it's really bootable via trying to boot from it?

I don't mean to sound like a neverous nellie but i do have doubts about this ..

    Take care
