    Thanks HAN for the update.

I have missed the step to extract the ISO by running the peip7_recovery.exe directly. :p

I just did a restore with Exact image.
First I tried with the rescue CD but it would not recognize my SATA drives, meaning I only see my IDE drive. Same thing in the Linux and DOS version.
Unfortunately I had made the backup capsule on one of the SATA drives. :(

So I did a restore from the windows version of EI. It demanded a reboot and restored the backup from the capsule during the boot process.
Funny thing is that all the rules and activation key for Prevx1 disappeared and Roboform was deactivated too o_O I did have to re activate Roboform and let Prevx1 download, if not all, many rules from the net...strange.

    Too much hassle.

I ditched it already, GUI is excellent but not works for me.

DriveImageXML gives me almost same functionality with much better reliability.

I tried the bootable EI Linux CD at home with my laptop and I could not burn a DVD-based image to my external USB DVD burner/drive. Strangely, I was able to boot into the Linux environment from this drive but it would not recognize the blank DVD disks. (This was tried after a successful DVD-based image creation with the same drive and another bootable image creation program.)

    So, I'm giving up... :doubt:
