    Hi!

I'm using Paragon B&R 2010 free advanced to back up my internal hard drive.

I've made a couple of backups with the windows application and even with the bootable recovery cd without any problems and errors.

However after doing the backup with the recovery cd I noticed that I had done the backup with the option "Surface test/check" set to "None".

    1. Is it necessary to have this set to at least "Normal" if I want to be sure that everything works fine when I make a restore?

    2. When is it necessary to do a surface test on a hdd when reading and writing?

I would be thankful if someone could give me some info on this.
