Panda Titanium 2006: how to uninstall?

Hi,

How do you fully uninstall Panda Titanium 2006 ?

Well, I guess you can uninstall it in add/remove.
But does it needs other things to do?
Does Panda has a special uninstaller?
Special files and/or reg-keys that need to be removed after uninstalling?

Any advice would be much appreciated !!!

Maybe Mirin or someone else have it ...

I have tried to translate the instructions; you will see them in a following posting.


Please note that at the moment I haven't used it myself.
But I will do later.
Please note that this in no way meant as bashing Panda, in no way !!!

Probably some notes will also follow later.

First you need to go to the following (Dutch) link:

You will see there at the top the following Dutch line:

1. Kopieer het bestand UnInstLsp.zip naar de harde schijf van uw PC.

Clicking on that file UnInstLsp.zip gives you the direct download link for it.

You will need that file in the following instructions.

 

Instructions for manual removing of Panda Titanium 2006.

1.
Copy the file UnInstLsp.zip to your harddisk.

2.
Restart your PC in Safe Mode

3.
Unzip the file UnInstLsp.zip and copy the file UnInstLsp.exe to the antivirus installation directory,
C:\Program Files\Panda Software\Panda Titanium Antivirus 2006 + Antispyware.

4.
Go to C:\Program Files\Panda Software\Panda Titanium Antivirus 2006 + Antispyware.
Double left click on UnInstLsp.exe
By doing this, the antivirus LSP component will be removed.

5.
Go to the Registry:
Start > Run > Regedit
Click OK.

6.
Remove the following Registry-keys.
Maybe some of the following doesn’t exist.
Remove only the following ones.
If none of them exists, then go to the next step 7.

Close the Registry Editor.

8.
In Windows Explorer rename the folder
C:\Program Files\Panda Software
into:
C:\Program Files\Panda

8a.
Reboot into Normal Mode.

9.
In Windows Explorer remove the following folders:
- C:\Program Files\Panda
- C:\Program Files\Common Files\Panda Software
or (in case the previous folder could not be removed)
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Panda Software\PavShld
- C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information\{98032D6F-3EE6-4646-B68C-40BF012AC89B}
In case this folder was not visible, it is likely that not all hidden files and folders are shown.

10.
Go to C:\Windows\system32\PAV
Remove the following files:
• C:\WINDOWS\system32\PAV
• C:\WINDOWS\system32\pavipc.dll
• C:\WINDOWS\system32\PavSHook.dll
• C:\WINDOWS\system32\SYSTOOLS.DLL
• C:\WINDOWS\system32\TpUtil.dll

11.
Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers
Remove the following files:
• APPFCONT.DAT
• APPFLTR.CFG
• cpoint.sys
• dsaflt.sys
• fnetmon.sys
• idsflt.sys
• netflt.sys
• netfltdi.sys
• pavdrv51.sys
• PavProc.sys
• ShldDrv.sys
• smsflt.sys
• wnmflt.sys
• APPFCONT.DAT
• APPFLTR.CFG

12.
Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\
Remove the following files:
• DsaFlt.rls
• IdsFlt.cfg
• NetAV.alt
• NatFlt.cfg
• SmsFlt.cfg
• NETPM.WLT
• NETAR.WLT
• NETFLT.VAI
• WNMSAV.DAT

13.
Reboot.
Panda Titanium 2006 should be removed now.
You can now re-install the antivirus program again.

Step 8 is not completely clear to me at the moment.

Yep, that is what I found too ...

 

Many thanks guys got the basic idea of what was in text.

Have uninstalled Panda as described and it works,
Just one note of caution if using Outlook it will report an error regarding plug-In.
Open Outlook >Tools>Options>Other>Advanced.Look in Com Add-Ins & delete any entries relating to Panda if not sure "Google it" same goes for Add In Manager, One reference to Panda is MAPISENSOR take tick out of box.
