The free version will alert you when a new update is out but will not automatically install it.

Yes of course. You'll get a little traybar notification window telling you there's a new version and a link to download it. Once you download and run it, it will upgrade the previous version by itself without you having to uninstall the previous one manually.

We're trying to make PCAV as much as a killer app as possible, but needed to leave a little something for the pro. So in the pro you don't even get the traybar upgrade notification, it upgrades 100% transparently and only tells you when its finished upgrading to the new version... no more downloading new versions with the pro.

The model we are trying to follow is to add as much AV technology as possible to the free while keeping the same simplicity, non-performance impact and non-bloat approach that it has always had.

Great job, love the freeware. Would definitely keep using it if not for Avast Free and its password protected settings.

The freeware is awesome. Does the PRO version justify spending the money?

Careful. If everyone says no, then the free version will change to make the Pro more attractive. lol

Simple answer...yes if you are the type of person who prefers to not have to worry about making your USB drives immune, updating you av, and want behavior analysis.

BTW a user can use Panda USB Vaccine (free) to make his/her USB drives immune. :)

    I think € 19.95 would be acceptable :)

    I agree, maybe they should change the 3-years-key to a lifetime-key :)

BTW you can also suggest them to introduce 5 Year license option ...Ikarus Utilities is also offering 5 year license key to their customers @ Price (excl. VAT/sales tax) $ 82 or € 68
