The Facebook version will give you browser protection, but there is no real-time malware detection/removal; it will remove adware.

Detection is free, but blocking and removal are for the paid edition(except adware, and also MBR rootkits.)

The signatures are "in the Cloud", so they are always up to date.

I have sent in a FP report about SpyShelter but I have not got any info back from the email. I will however talk to Pbust and the Panda Labs and see if it's possible to get SpyShelter on a white list so it's not detected with every SpyShelter program upgrade :)

Please note that I specified real-time detection in my previous post.

Yes, but because of how you say it, it seems that you say that detection and removal is paid version only:

The same way you would typically uninstall other software which is via add or remove programs / programs and features.

No. However I have now removed PCAV altogether since it is adding anywhere from 2-5 seconds of delay in opening certain applications (winmtr, winvnc, winbox, teamviewer, rdp, etc.), and of course the inability to exclude scanning of network shares/apps is a huge disappointment. I had been holding off on purchasing paid licenses, and with all of these quirks I can no longer feel confident about installing it on my clients computers.

Opps, your right. I thought you were talking about the link to the blog. I didn't realize it was the link for the direct download.

Sorry. I didn't verify the actual download link.

Just so y'all know the Spyshelter FP is being looked into and they are looking for a way so it's not detected with every SpyShelter program update.

It does include certain types of auto-upgrades which deal with fixes. For example on Thursday we will release an autofix for the behaviour blocker and both Free and Pro Editions will get it automatically and transparently. But new major versions of the Free Edition need to be downloaded manually.

I really like the transparent updating that comes with Panda Cloud and I have the Pro Version. The only thing I would suggest is maybe add an update link or viewer so we can see what updates are occuring and remove the mystery...cheers and great work gang...:thumb:
