Is License key "Hardware Dependent" ?

 

yes.. but cannot change any hardware

 

So if I buy a New PC or change some Hardware, do I have to send Panda my License key for deactivation, and then activate it again

Or if I format my HD how would that work afterwards then?

pbust will have to explain how this works I belive.....

That's not a smart move...I hate hardware dependent keys...What if somebody's HDD crashed? Then i guess he have to send each and every detail to Panda Labs in order to reactivate the license...That's bit annoying.

 

yes.. annoying and for the price not very good.. even for my work any day i change device or software test.. i am rebuyer pc and i am not very pleased of this situation..

 

in trend micro products, users can easily deactivate their previous installations.
for example, you have a TIS license key for 3 PCs, and already activated it on 3 PCs in your family. if you reinstall the OS, the activation wizard would list out your previous installation history, and ask you to deactivate one of them.
so you can always use your key on 3 different PCs, even after hardware changes.
i think panda should also implement a similar feature

Anyone having trouble watching Hulu videos with Panda Cloud installed? It plays the ads, but then when Lost is about to start it just stops, and the play bottom is grayed out.

I use the free version, and I just went into my settings, and both behavior blocking and analysis are "enabled". Odd. Wonder if that is a bug in the GUI, or if it really is enabled.

Just stop PCAV and then start again. You can see that too.

 

I have some limitations dude, that's why i am depending on you guys for a while...

What's this about? I may put this on my laptop if the Pro is free.

 

I am sure this bug will be fixed.

 

Investigating the issue from @PnP, it shouldn't have happened and you should be able to use the license key again. I've send a separate key by PM just in case. Btw if you re-format or re-install the OS your license key should still work.

Regarding the bug, I can confirm it is a bug and you can turn on behavioural analysis in the Free Edition by just stopping and starting the AV. We will fix as soon as possible... in the meantime, enjoy
