That's what I'm doing. Prevx paid and Panda Cloud Antivirus free are running fine together on my system.

I agree there should be a discount for renewal. The last time I had a paid subscription to NOD32, although it was quite expensive for the first year at £29.95, there was a 30% reduction on renewal.

Given that Prevx (without SafeOnline) can be purchased for £19.95 annually, there should be a discount of at least 20% on renewal for Panda Cloud Antivirus Pro. Otherwise, Panda is in danger of pricing itself out of the market against the competition.

    The only drawback...

For the "free" version, I think the upgrade to the next version should be flawless matter rather than downloading it manually. How would grandma or those not too familiar know how to do this? aVast! has gotten this matter in the right path to keep their customers. And it's free. ;)

Does the free version alerts about a new version released?

Yep, I agree completely. I haven't installed Panda Cloud on my family/friend computers for that very reason :(.

I think that is plenty for most people.

Even if I'm not connected, PCA does an on-demand scan and do not alert about the fact that I'm not connected. Doesn't panda suppose to protect and scan only when its connected to the cloud?

I guess its scanning on the basis of offline cache...because when you are connected with Internet, Panda Cloud AV save some signature database cache in your system, so that in case if you are connected you still get some protection from the malwares...

disconnect from internet for 2-3 minutes then do the manual scan and you will be notified that you are not connected to interent.

Whenever you turn the AV off and then on again, both behaviour analysis and behaviour blocking are turned on regardless of their original setting.

You don't seem to be able to make exceptions for the behaviour blocker either so I can't convert audio files with Foobar because it blocks foobar from starting neroaacenc.exe.

Event alerts often pop up significantly later than the events happen. After blocking my attempts to convert audio files about 5-6 times, about an hour later it pops up an alert. This used to happen with the beta version as well, IIRC.

An hour latero_O? Is this factual or an exaggeration?

Notifications are asynchronous in order to preserve lightweight resource usage and non-blocking operations on the PC... but not as far as "an hour later". At the most they will take approx 30 seconds to appear.

A few weeks ago Panda neutralized an item and I didn't get a pop up. I was searching for the file about 5 minutes and then I got the pop up: File has been neutralized!

    Yes, that's unacceptable ...

I would like to get prompted for action, rather than auto immunize. Hopefully they allow that change in the settings in a future build.

Yes I noticed that too. It lags to show alerts.

I like Panda and am considering to get the Pro version.

I use the freeeeee version :D. It caught part of an autorun virus and fixed the autorun.ini file, but did not catch the linked "svchost.exe" file that was referenced to by the autorun.ini file until I manually scanned it :(.

As for ads, I don't care - I just let Panda sit in the background and never touch it because:

    a) there aren't many settings :p
    b) it's intelligent

Just a quick note for your peace of mind... we *will* fix this. I thought we had modified this for 1.1 but I guess it didn't make it to the final code.
